Lakeside professional development is a non-profit making business, part of the YMCA.
Every penny of profit made is donated straight back into subsidising our youth and schools programmes, ensuring that young people from all walks of life can continue to benefit from the centre at Lakeside. This often compliments Corporate Social Responsibility ethos and policies.
We are one of the largest outdoor centres in Europe and our core mission has always been, and continues to be, helping young people build a future.
We work with schools, youth and corporate groups from all over Europe in helping them achieve their learning and development objectives through outdoor activity.
How are funds distributed?
- To refurbish life expired accommodation and facilities
- To develop bursary funds to enable young people from disadvantaged backgrounds or special needs to visit Lakeside
- To provide transportation to develop extended schools programmes in the community and take groups off-site for activities such as caving and mountaineering
How can you and your organisation get involved?
