This is an important and rewarding office role ensuring our programmes are delivered to the high standards our clients expect. Your main purpose will be writing outdoor education programmes to client specifications and scheduling activities and staff. You will need to be motivated, highly organised, have great attention to detail; and enjoy solving the puzzle of pulling together the right instructor with the right activity at the right time for the client. You will also be liasing with clients and collegues so will need very good communication (verbal and written) and people skills.
full season is 2nd March – 31th August 2015. and peak season is late may to July /August. £6.55 per hour plus subsidised on-site accommodation and meals. The full season starts with 2 intense weeks (peak = 7 days) of paid induction training from highly qualified and experienced staff. Our outdoor education and adventure programmes are delivered to a wide range of clients including schools, colleges, youth-groups, corporate and family. Through these we aim to give you the opportunity to learn and develop, to broaden your instructional skills and deepen your understanding of “Learning Outside the Classroom”. Good staff will have the opportunity to extend contracts into the autumn. This year some staff will work until the end of November. Peak season instructors will concentrate on instructing in thier areas of expertise.
You need a MINIMUM of one NGB assessment and one otherNGB training from the following: Summer ML, SPA, RYA Dinghy Instructor or BCU L1 Coach plus 3* and will be able to demonstrate a good level of previous instructional experience.
Full season 30th Mar – 31st Aug 2015. £50 a week expenses plus full board and accommodation. This is designed for those of you who do not have sufficient qualifications and or experience yet. We offer you the chance to join our team and learn on the job. If you gain the NGBs and demonstrate the skills during the season we will upgrade you to an Instructor contract. Extensions to contracts are usually available for some staff. To be successful you must be seriously working towards a career in the outdoors and ready to make the best of all the opportunities available to you.
Dates for 2015 coming soon, usually the whole of August. £50 a week expenses plus full board and accommodation. This is designed for those of you who want to gain experience working with and being responsible for children. We will train you in what you will need to learn. It is essential that you have bags of enthusiasm, a great sense of humour and commitment to the full period of the contract.
