When we work with youth groups one of our main focuses to is challenge and change behaviours, through outdoor experiential learning, observation, feedback and reviews in a supportive way.
Experience, Reflection and Learning
At the centre we recognise the unique human qualities of each individual. We aim to balance the objectives of Youth Organisations with whom we work, against the aspirations and need of each individual young person. The experiential approach to learning underpins everything we do.
The flexible design and delivery of our programmes will enable Trainers to meet the changing needs of diverse projects and individuals.
Our lives are a continual cycle of learning where the past and present influence our development pattern: Experience, Reflection and Learning.
Experience
Through undertaking challenging and adventurous activities, young people build a portfolio of positive significant experience.
Reflection
Individuals then reflect on these positive experiences, placing upon them meaning and reference that enables them to learn and give direction to their future.
Learning
As in life, the pattern is continuos. Once learning has been applied we return to building new experiences from which to develop further.
