Senior Manager – Marketing Outdoor Education £26,785 per annum – full time 37.5 hours per week. For full advert, job details and how to apply please click here Applications close 8th November.

Sales Executive.  We are looking for someone with drive and determination who can grow our client-base and revenue. You will seek new and repeat business and manage each client account through to delivery of the service. Our clients are 95% professionals in schools youth and corporate organisations and 5% of families. You will help shape our marketing materials and develop your own contacts as well as following up enquiries. £18,454 pa. full time 37.5 hr/week. Starting December 17 or early January 2018.

Instructors (15 x Full Season and 6 x Peak Season)

Full season (Monday 5th March – 26th October 2018.) The full season starts with 2 intense weeks of paid induction training from highly qualified and experienced staff and covers all the activities we hope you will be able to do.

Peak Season (Saturday 26th May until 28th September or 26th October 2018.) starts with 7 days of paid induction training from highly qualified and experienced staff, and concentrates on ensuring you can deliver your own area of expertise and a core range of other activities.

We will pay you £7.50/hr depending on age,(equivalent £13650 PA pro-rata based on an average 35 hour week). There will be a pay review 1st April 2018. We give you the option of subsidised on-site accommodation and meals and issue high quality Keela Waterproof Jacket and Keela Softshell for the season as part of the uniform.
You need a MINIMUM of one NGB assessment and one other NGB training in any two of the following: BCU L1 Coach plus a 3*, SPA, RYA Dinghy Instructor plus Safety boat or Summer ML and will be able to demonstrate a good level of previous instructional experience.

Volunteer instructors x 8 (Monday 2nd April – 28th September 2018) This is designed for those of you who do not have sufficient qualifications and or experience yet. We offer you the chance to join our team and learn on the job. If you gain the NGB’s and demonstrate the skills during the season we will upgrade you to an Instructor contract. Extended volunteering opportunities into the autumn are usually available. We find that volunteers who are serious about a career in the outdoors and ready to make the best of all the opportunities available get the most from this programme. As well as part uniform, full training and induction, meals and accommodation we give you £50 a week towards your expenses.

Night Warden-Caretaker x 2 (Monday  5th March  – 28th October 2018) To support the Centre’s operation during the evenings, including on call during sleeping hours. With a variety of client needs and facilities to care for the successful candidate will need to be able to develop credible and professional relationships with Clients and Staff alike. Anticipate and act to ensure great customer service in line with service and emergency protocols. You will be dependable and conscientious, so that you can conduct your duties well without high levels of direct supervision. Typically 10 hours per shift, and 7 days on, 7 off. ) £7.50/hr (£13650 PA pro-rata average 35 hour week) (with a pay review 1st April 2018) Accommodation is provided for when you are on duty & if you require full time accommodation, a small charge will be made. We also offer subsidised meals.

Storekeeper (Monday  5th March  – 28th October 2018) To look after and issue the activity equipment held in the various stores and undertake maintenance of activity equipment and site. Supervise instructors undertaking activity equipment and site maintenance tasks. Maintain equipment logs and records including inspections of safety equipment. You will be dependable and conscientious, so that you can conduct your duties well without high levels of direct supervision.  £7.50/hr (£13832 PA pro-rata, average35 hour week) (with a pay review 1st April 2018)

House Keeper x 2  (Monday 5th March – 28th October 2018) We are looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated Housekeeping team. This is no ordinary House Keeping position, with a variety of client needs and facilities to care for, we are looking for individuals who enjoy getting stuck in, can pay attention to detail and have a commitment to provide our clients with facilities to the highest of standards and excellent customer service. Hours are negotiable, up to a maximum of 35 hours a week and term time only considered. £7.50 per hour age dependent (with a pay review 1st April 2018)

Day Camp Leader Volunteers x 16 (Saturday 21st July – 31st August 2018) £50 a week expenses plus full board and accommodation. Would you like to gain experience working with and being responsible for children? Have you got bags of enthusiasm and energy, a great sense of humour, full of fun and a commitment to give 5 weeks of your summer? If so, this placement is designed for you. You will receive 1 week’s intensive training in what you will need to learn and then you will spend 4 weeks, Monday to Friday as leaders within our Day Camp Programme. Join our team for the summer and make friends for life.

For all the above roles, the working hours are scheduled to meet the needs of the various clients and this will at times include evening and /or  weekend duties. Opportunities to continue at YMCA Lakeside for the following year are offered towards the end of the season
