Night Warden/Caretaker

Dates: ASAP – 27th November 2017 (contract for 2018 early Feb to end Nov also available)

This role is primarily about making sure the clients feel safe secure and cared for in the evenings and overnight (sleep over duties). The role requires a wide range of skills from responding and leading in case of incidents e.g. fire evacuation procedure, to security of buildings and equipment, to hospitality for teachers and school groups, to facilities care-taking and more.  This is a position of trust and if appointed we will be putting our confidence in your abilities and judgement.   Dependable and conscientious, you will conduct your duties without high levels of direct supervision, and act to ensure great customer service in line with YMCA policy.

Ten hours per shift, and 7 days on, 7 off. £7.50/hr . Accommodation is provided for when you are on duty & if you require full time accommodation, a small charge will be made. We also offer subsidised meals.

2 x Programme Administrators

1 full time and 1 part time permanent starting ASAP

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic individuals to co-ordinate our Programme delivery in the provision of outdoor adventurous and developmental activity programmes.  The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting our Programme Operations Manager, through programme design, logistics and resourcing to ensure excellent customer service at the point of delivery.  If you feel you have excellent people and organisation skills, can problem solve and be a great role model, then we would like to hear from you. Experience and understanding of logistics,  and  outdoor learning would be a real advantage.

Currently the part time role is 3 days per week in the high season weeks, (summer) and 2 days per week in the low season.  the permanent role is 5 days per week. Days of the week will vary and include occasional weekend work to suit business needs.  Pay is £8.65 per hour, uniform clothing items are provided and meals are available at subsidised rate when we are catering for clients.
