See how we’re making a difference
We know that we make a difference to the lives of thousands of young people who visit Lakeside each year. The Impact Report, compiled annually by YMCA Fylde Coast and released in July this year, shows exactly how we helped young people from around the country in the year 2016/17.

2016/17 Impact Report
More than 7,600 children, young people and adults visited Lakeside. Many were from urban and inner city areas with reduced life opportunities. All report real benefits from our programmes, including improved education and employment skills, increased confidence, resilience and respect.
We use experiential learning in exciting outdoor activities to teach young people skills that they don’t always learn at school. These include taking on new responsibilities, taking risks in a controlled environment and leadership skills among many others.
